I have a 2002 D-Max with a single alternator. It has 50,000 miles on it and it used to have and intemittent squeal when cold. Now the squeal is just about full time and is driving me crazy!!! I thought I saw in the forum that it was a belt issue but I don't remember it ever getting to correct belt part numbers and manufacturer. My pal at the dealer gave me a new idler pulley and OEM belt but I don't want to waste my time to have this happen again. Any bright ideas? Thanks in advance

take the belt off, make sure it goes away. If it does, spin each pulley by it self and see if you can get it on any one pulley.

damaxallitech, thanks for the response. I will check that out. Any info about problems with the stock belt and replacement?
