Does anyone know if the diesel fuel I buy here in California is the same as they sell in other states? I heard today it is different. Edited by: CMDMAX

California is lower sulfer and also refiners have voluntarily agreed to meet a minimum SLBOCLE lubricity test (3000 grams). On the lubricity side, the level voluntarily agreed to by the refiners is not sufficient to provide long fuel system life according to Fuel injection manufacturers. In the rest of the U.S. there is no lubricity standard (voluntary or otherwise).
