I'm getting ready to switch from Magnaflow to MBRP. I've got the stock front pipe with no cat. I've got a Magnaflow muffler with the 4" tubing out to a 5" tip. I'm tired of the drone at 55-65. Its flat out annoying.
I measured the two mufflers and the MBRP is 8" longer than the Magnaflow, which might explain the noise level differences.
I drove Ben's truck and couldnt believe how much quieter his was than mine.
I'm looking for an MBRP front pipe.
I just need the one pipe so the new muffler can weld up easily. Also, I'm not opposed to a resonator as well. I'm good with my inspection for another year so a cat, hopefully gutted, will eventually find it was back on there. Now, could we fool a mechanic into believing that a resonator is a cat as long as its in the correct place?
