Hi Guys,


Looking to install the third running light above the bumper and below the tail gate (like on 1 tons). Noticed that the license plate parking lamps plug into a plug tree on the frame near the spare tire and have several extra contacts. The questions are:


1. What is the part number for the little metal piece that can be attached to the end of the wire and inserted into the plug (like for the ECM to enable high idle)?


2. Which contacts on the plug are for the third running lamp? Wiring diagram from a 2003 would probably provide the answer.

Thanks GMCSID. Now I just have to get the part number for the contacts in the plug. Anyone?

OK Everyone: Found the part numbers and wired into the license plate plug (plug on right looking forward) where the four rear lighting plugs are located on the bed frame. Looking at the plug, the top right contact is ground and the third contact down on right is positive. Part number for the contact to insert into the plug is 15326004 and the weather resistant purple grommet is 184141-1. Took more time to set up and drill holes than to actually wire up.
