I just bought a 06 LLY, CC Dually 4x4.

My first tank was 15.1, and the second is a little better, like maybe 16 or so. I have about 800 miles on it. How much did your truck increase after the first few tanks?

I am a very conservative driver, and much of my miles is at 60 mph on 2 lane roads, so I am hoping for 20 mpg.

17mpg first 500 miles and about 15 after, 2500 total. I'm not counting the 11mpg towing at 75mph, that slowed me down in a hurry.

Mine has been the same since day 1 as well, crossing 9000 miles this week. The break in thing is BS.

Well mine went from an average of 15.7 and dropped to 11.1? I was towing and was averaging 10.2 and I ran it very low on fuel. I didn't run out, but after I fueled up the truck didn't want to start. I cycled the key 3-5 times and it started. The rest of the trip I never got better than 8.3 towing. Now I am running without the trailer and I am only getting 11.1, any thoughts? I never lost power and it drives fine. I started the trip with 1300 miles and added 2500 miles on the trip towing.

Is that hand calculated or are you just using the DIC? If you are using the DIC if you have the steering wheel feature buttons. Hold down the lower right button until it resets also, but double check with a hand calculation. I hope that is your only problem & not something with the motor.

No, I was hand calculating the numbers and checking with the DIC.

Our first highway miles trip this week on our LBZ with filling up 3 times:

Hand calculating each fill up with its mileage, we were getting 21-23 mpg. The DIC was showing a slightly lower numbers.

Slightly better mileage than our old LB7!

GREAT TRUCK!
