hello i got a couple problems. i was cruising down the interstate with the cruise on and noticed a slight bump/hesitation while going down hill. it was like the tranny was slipping a bit when the cruise was slowing me down. or it flet like there was a little play somewhere in the system. i had my edge on lvl 3 and was monitoring the tranny slip. i noticed a .6 slip percentage from time to time, but that only lasted for a fraction of a second and wasn't consistant with the bump. any ideas? thanks

I'm not positive with cruise on but when I (or anyone) lets off power the transmission holds for a few seconds then releases into a coast type mode until throttle is applied again. I've always assumed it was to conserve fuel and don't consider it abnormal. That's in "normal" mode of the tranny of course, not including tow/haul or OD lockout modes. Could be what you're experienceing when using cruise and it backs off to maintain speed going down hill.

i think you may be right... what about the .6 tanny slip?

That I"m unsure of but it sure seems like a small number. I'm prone to think that if there wasn't a reason to "really" slip (high hp applied) then I've got to think it's nothing to worry about. I've never use anything to measure slip so don't have a point of comparison. Sorry.:(

Don't worrry about it. The .6% you will also see when you WOT at times. It's just noise from the trans sensors causing the calculation from the RPM's to the output shaft speed to be a little bit off.

On Edit I've seen the .6% with my SCIV before I sold the edge.
