Hello,

I was wondering if you coudl help me with this weird issue.

I have 2002 2500HD DMAX/Alli CC/SB.

When i back the truck up and tap the break a groaning noise gan be heard from the left side of the truck. COuld this be a problem with the break caliper? Also, mostly in the mornings when i take my truck to work just when i pull out of my parking spot i can hear a small pop noise also from the left which sounds like something in the suspension settling. Any ideas?

Thank you for you help

Noises are tough with out hearing them first hand. I would first guess looking at the brakes, If it does it first thing in the morning, its possible that moisture build up on the brakes could cause it. The rotors will get a very light surface rust coating after sitting in the wet/dew. Not much to do about that. The clunk, again, is hard to say with out hearing it. Is it more noticable from the front or rear?

thanx for the help. the groaning noise is ever present when backing up and using the brakes. the sounds defnately comes from the fron of the truck. as for the clunk thats only in the mornings.
