: Need a new Clutch and Flywheel

On my way home from work last night. I jumped on the throttle to get a little room between me and the Dork riding my tail. Motor just revved up but I did not gain any speed. When I let off it made a nasty grinding sound for a couple seconds. It took both feet to push the clutch pedal in. It did not release when I got it to the floor and the pedal never came backup off the floor. The bottom of my shoe, the pedal, and the firewall are covered in Dot 4. I think am going to have to replace everything but the pedal. This was my second flywheel and clutch. It did not give any warning this time just let go. I was unloaded running the Daiblosport 85hp tune. This morning the truck would move but acting real funny. If I am in 6 gear going 60 mph and jump on the throttle it slips like crazy. It is rattling pretty badly also.
I am not sure what clutch I need yet. I have been giving a lot thought to trying Full Pulls new Street Diesel class. So I am leaning toward Macs dual disk set up.
How will this work for everyday driving and towing?

Thanks
Johnboy

I have no experience with the macs duel disk puller but i do beleive that if your going to pull alot its the way to go, there are a few guys on here that drive and work them everyday, so i assume there alright for that! I love my SBC i havent had any issues with it and to say the least, i beat the living $h!t out of it! I have not hooked to any sleds with it yet but do plan to atleast once this year!

Hope this helps,
Caleb

Thanks for the input. I am not ruling out South Bend yet. I am sure that I am going SMF DD. This clutch and flywheel giving up is getting old. I want to fix it and fix it once.:) Hopefully I can get in touch with Evan early this week. I want get the truck back on the road as soon as I can.

Installed it myself last night went together very nice. No more flywheel rattle and hard peddle. Some new noises to used to.
