You will not find +12v when the door is open. You can find a - ground when door is open but you either have to go into the door for that or use a door lock module that has an output for your purpose.

You can also use the dome light wire but since it is delayed it will not function quite right. It will work but you will get an extra chirp when you arm the alarm because it thinks the doors are open.

There's a gray or gray/black wire @ c4 on the BCM that works well for this. It's the courtesy light supply voltage. I'll shoot you the specifics when I get home later. Like Max said you will get and extra chirp or two this way.

I was wrong it's C5,but it is a gray/black wire. There's only three wires in that plug so it should be easy to find.

You have to go into the doors for the heated seats. Either that or use a module that turns on heated seats through data.

How did you get the alarm to work with the module without hard wiring the door locks? I have a Prestige with the auto start and I've been back and forth to my alarm guy three times. Finally just had him install it without the module. When the module was in, everything armed fine but the alarm wouldn't chirp in disarm and it wouldn't unlock the doors. I really didn't want anything wired the the locks, so now as long as I leave the interior lights on the alarm works fine.

No offence Berk but you need to find another installer. This system is now wrapping up its second year so there is no excuse for that those type or problems.

No offense taken but if I told you some of the horror stories I've been through with most of the installers around here you wouldn't believe me. I went to this guy on a recommendation from a friend and so far I've had nothing but trouble. I stand over the installer when he works on my stuff now and so long as he fixes everything for free I have to let him make good on it.

Just to give you an idea of what I've been through with the clowns around here, check this out. I go to a local place to have a radio and speakers installed in my work truck Toyota a while back. Now this is a big place with alot of cars in and out. Since I don't really get into electronics I wanted to test the place out before I brought him any real work. To make a long story short, after I get the truck back the radio doesn't work. The installer tells me it's a bad antenna. I pull off the fender and change it. Still no radio. I procede to take the dash apart and to remove the radio to get it tested. When I start to take the radio out of the adapter housing, I find the moron used 1-1/2" drywall screws to fasten it together. He drilled right into the tuning crystal. After causing a riot and getting all my money back plus a new radio I go through the rest of the install, both rear speakers had one screw holding them in, every connection was just twisted together with a tiny piece of electrical tape, screws were missing in the dash. This is what I have to deal with.

Peekok-save yourself some time and agrivation and get a Crimestopper GM-U7. It bypasses passlock, operates the locks and kicks on the heared seat, rear defrost and heated mirrors when the weather is below around 34, all via the Data Bus. The heat feature only works on trucks with the electronic climate control. If you can't track one down locally, drop me a line and I can sell you one.
