I just got a quote on 4 Terra Grapplers 285/75/16 yesterday. The "tire guy" says they would fit without a lift and/or trimming. I am a little reluctant on this. I originally was going with 265's but he told me I could go taller if I wanted to. I want to keep my stock rims also. Is this true? Any feedback would be great!!

In theory, no you shouldn't put 285 tires on your stock wheels. (And you're going to read a bunch of posts that says it works just fine.......)

As far as trimming goes, with 285 tires on 8" wide rims, you have to trim the lower air dam just a bit (on the left side, right side clears with no issue) Also, the inner fender well on the front side will contact the tire when turning. (Makes a very interesting noise too, I might add...)

(For the record, your rims a 6.5" wide)

Agree with parts guy. You will need trimming, wheels will work, but you really need 8", and your MPG will suffer. Go with 265.
