I just got an overhead console from an Aurora and I need to know how to properly wire the HomeLink module. How do I wire it so that it is on when the ignition is on. It has three wires coming off the module, 1 orange, 1 brown and 1 black. I suspect the black is chasis ground (because the module is all plastic), the orange is 12vDC (+) positive that comes off the ignition on circuit and the brown is (-)negative. Please confirm or correct me, either way I'll greatly appreciate it.

Also, I plan on using only the HomeLink module in my current short overhead console, which leaves the lights to be used elsewhere. Where is the best place to tap into 12VDC to use the lights from the Aurora console as underhood lighting?

Black = ground
Orange = positive (in your case you want to find a switched ignition)
Brown = instrument panel lights that dim (you could hook this up to the ignition if you don't care about it dimming)

You can also search this forum. I helped someone not to long ago with the same setup. There are pictures and everything to describe the setup. The consoles out of pre 02 vehicles are wired differently then 03+.
