One would think that on a one ton truck, the GM engineers in their infinite wisdom would figure out by now that GREASE FITTINGS might be a good thing!!! So, here we go again.... stop at Never Any Parts Available and low and behold, no listing!!!! Stop at stealer who has one for $89.00!!!! W.T.F!!!! I say I'll take it, match it up to a real u-joint that has a grease fitting, and bring it back for credit. They say no problem. Go to local driveshaft shop, he says that's an axle joint... they don't come with grease fittings, and, Spicer is going to phase out grease fittings all together!! Again I say W.T.F.!! Got a phone number for Spicer tech service, I'll update when I see what they say.
I think ProblemChild cast a spell on mehttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Wink.gif!!

No zerks on the u-joints and never changed.

Talked to Spicer tech support today. The cross to a greasable u-joint is Spicer # 5-160X. Sure enough, matches right up and only costs $14.40!!! Picked up 3 today and will have driveshaft shop install them as soon as possible. Yes I'm being a girly man by not doing it myself, but, I don't want to take any chances with balance problems... been there, done that, never do it again! (at least not on something that matters)
