Then 3 seconds after started the temp drops below 160. otis 06-01-2006, 06:26 PM Brianteel, GM doesn't advise using it unless it is well below freezing and some say it is best to put it on a timer so it doesn't stay on for more than a couple of hours. I have never used mine and I have started the truck with no prob when it has sat in single digets all day. The new cord has a thermostatic switch in it that only turns on when the temp is 0F and colder no mater when the truck is plugged in. GM part number is 10369173. SI Doc ID is 1822793.
