i know all vehicles get damaged and was thinking i would damage it out in the country, nope traveling southbound on main street a guy decided to merge and run right into me, i saw his turn signal, started applying the brakes to let him in, and nope he wanted in right there, right NOW. boom. got my drivers side doors, so two nice dents, the side molding is destroyed, and it was a a chrysler 300 series car that got me, he only had passenger side front panel damage, i think the truck got it worse. but those running boards i think helped save alot of what could of been.

so got ahold of autopac ( one insurance place for all manitoba) and i'm not a fault, and i get the truck looked at friday morning. it will be fixed. the dents come out, rust repaired on bottom of doors, new molding, and new running board. should be interesting friday morning.

best part was the first thing the guy said to me as we were exchanging information was "you were driving too fast" oh yea, i was doing 40 kph in a 60 kph zone, the truck doesn't move very fast. ( all stock) off the start ( 1/2 block back) and i also drive some what of a granny not because i want to, because i have to.

grrrr oh well, sh!t happens and i'm covered, so its all good.

You prolly should have applied the horn, instead of the brakes.

I hate driving in the city. Hate it, hate it, hate it.

What surprises me is that he used his turn signal, must have been from out of town.

nope hes a city driver, says so on his license, i'm the country guy, i use turn signals when i'm switching lanes in tight areas but not when turning.

and i also dislike driving in the city, but i have to daily, i just bite the bullet and do it. after a while nothing phases you, and just shake your head everytime you see something stupid.

tomorrow i get to see the adjuster,
one thing that makes me scrach my head is that they ask for you to wash the area that was hit, um wouldn't that get rid of some of the evidence? expecially if you hit a deer or something else thats blooded? or paint chips?

Sorry to hear about the incident CanadianDiesel. I would have lost it on the guy. Probably didn't shoulder check, just took a quick glance at the side mirror and was probably on the cell phoneCensored

the guy saw me, but still decided that he wanted into the lane at the second. 1700 in damage to my doors. yet there still fuctional, but bent the running board. and moldings. so just waiting for him to call, and i don't have a single bit of road rage, i usually just laugh at the person that did something stupid, and get out of the city to do some real driving.
