Just got this notification from GM Goodwrench that I am due to have my Dex-Cool Fluid changed because the five years/240,000 Km period is up. They say you can't mix this fluid with anything else and that Dex-Cool was "especially designed for your vehicle". Anyone know abouth this and if this coolant is the way to go?

Some people like it some don't. It has been in use since 92 or 95? Don't mix with the green stuff or anything else otherwise it will destroy your engine. Mixing the green/orange will cause a fallout which will clog up your engine. I just redid my lower intake manifold on my car and flused the cooling system and replaced with the Dex-cool. Its done its job well and I have not had problems with it other than the lower intake manifold gasket going bad. If you don't replace the coolant the it gets very acidic and will eat away at the aluminum engine block.
