Probobly the hardest part was figuring out how it was going to fit up there. I could do the next one in half the time I think. The instructions were right about it moving around a bit during the tightening process. I had to re adjust it twice and it still moved half an inch forward in the hole. Those familiar with this type of hitch my question is" how much should the coupler stick up above the floor. In other words with the ball removed and the little cover plate in the hole, how much should it stick up? Should it be flush with the floor?
Also when i cut the hole it went into the crossmember under the bed by a half inch. My fear at this point was that the hitch wouldn't fit against it properly to alighn the hole but it did.
Final question, I torqued the bolts to specs, do you check that from time to time?
Im new at this, appreciate your experience.
