hi guys,
got back after a computer meltdown..anyway i have had my pump rebuilt, its a 4.3 v8 olds diesel!! i have refitted it, but the motor wont run, i`m thinking the timing is out as it sounds strained when turning over and almost stops when trying to fire.

what i did was to bring number 1 piston to tdc (both valves shut), the timing mark on the crank pully was at 0 deg and the cam to drive the pump was vertical, i installed the pump with the T to the top..

i`m getting fuel through and have cracked all the injectors to bleed any air out.

it all points to timing right??any ideas guys
