Pretty much all I run is JEt-A, and now and then some red diesel.Me and many others at work have been using stanadyne lubricity formula, and mix like it says on the bottle.

I have been runing jet for quite some time now and cut it with 1 1/2 ozs of two stroke oil per gallon with no problems. I need to install an egt indicator but have not done so yet. I have been told jet causes higher egt's not really sure though. Anyone know?

How do you guys get your jet-A?
Do you just go to a little air port and ask for it? That is how I get my 100LL avgas for my car.
Or do you work some where that has Jet-A like an air port?

I just picked up my 06 LBZ and plan on running jet-a in it. Will the stanadyne performance formula be enough? Should I add the lubricity formula to it too? Will that be to much oil? I work for a mechanic part time and can get all the fuel I need. Do you run all jet-a or are you mixing it with diesel?

i mix 2 gallons of bio with 53 gallons of jet A. I run it in 2 TDI cars and it is fine. i may run it in my truck but not sure yet

Brian is right. BIO is the best lubricity additive you can get.

for the cost too it is cheap. even if you are paying $5 a gallon for it and mix it like i siad the fuel is only costing $.55 a gallon

I run JP-8, i usually try to mix it 50/50 with pump diesel and maybe some two stroke oil, i definitely throw a few ounces of 2 stroke oil if i run it straight.

So you guys get this stuff for free? What about water in fuel? I know it settles to the bottom. Do you pump it directly into your tank?

I never pull off the bottom of the drum. I also filter it on the way to the tank.

If you have access to sumped Jet-A, knock yourself out and mix it with something. Jet-A is going for $4.79 at KPIE, 110LL was at $4.61 this morning.

In GA if you get caught with red dye in the tank then you get a fine of 100 bucks for every gallon your truck holds.

GM actually says you can run Jet A1/JP8 with no problems at all. On trucks with "government/military" packages they say in the owners manual "JP8 can be used with no affect on warrantee"

Duratothemax, How did you find this out? Did GM issue a bulletin or something? Do they publish a list of approved fuels? Thanks

I searched for anything on line and could not find anything. Could you email a link to lear55atl@hotmail.com ? The Stanadyne arrived today and the jet a use will start tomorrow. It would be great to see GM approves. Thanks

it states that you can run it if you have the military package. even if every part is the same i am sure the dealer will say it is not a military vechile so it voids the warrenty
