2 new red tops, both dead as can be. I left my trailer connected. I have a just installed prodigy brake controller. Would this drain my batteries?
HELP!!! I'm pulling the car to Roebling Road tommorow and I need the truck.
By leaving your trailer connected, yes. With the 40amp fuse installed under the hood, your truck batteries power the trailer if you don't unplug the trailer. Batteries probably okay, just recharge them and don't forget to unplug the trailer. :)

I'm an idiot. Thanks for the quick reply. Red tops are on the trickle charger and the trailer is unplugged. Thnaks for the quick reply. I've had enough trouble with the car. I need the truck to do it's thing and get me there and back.

Did you leave something on or what drained the batteries? Just curious what would drain if nothing was on.

Not sure if this will work for you, but the same thing happened to my Chevy gasser...so I installed a solenoid to isolate the battery so it doesn't get accidently drained by the trailer.

You could easly just add a relay so it will only charge the camper when the key is on.

I thought that pin was switched - is it not?
