I won't start another thread since this is pretty much the same. A big thanks to Chris who got me the supplier discount, and to Howard for helping me track my baby. She arrived in the rail yard 0340 this am (don't ask how I know, LOL) Now I just have to wait for it to be delivered to the dealer. The salesman is already on it as I have let him know for the last two days that it was coming so he could get it to me......

SKI BUM, just curious, did the salesperson believe you or verify that you were right as to the location of the "BABY??" Howard

He believed me, he has called the yard two days in a Row, but they keep telling him that it is not in. Best I can figure is that it has not been unloaded from the rail car, so it has not been logged in, so to the grunt on the ground it is not there yet....

Hopefully today or tomorrow.......

ski bum : FWIW, the UP tracking info will tell you when it is out of the rail car (car will show up as "Empty" on the tracking). If it isn't saying that yet, the truck is still on the rail car.

So as of yesterday anyway, it spent all day sitting on the rail car:rolleyes:

Take care

To give you a timeline of what CAN happen if the dealer (and a friendly salesman who happens to be a friend) knows to call and kick some butts into gear at the rail yard :)...

My truck got into the rail yard at approx 3AM on Tues May 16th. I contacted the dealer Tues morning, they put in a call to the yard to expedite unload/delivery (note that as of that point, in the DEALER system the truck was still showing as "in transit").

Truck came off the train car on Wednesday May 17. According to my salesman, the truck was STILL showing as "in transit" on the dealer system :). Yes, GM for whatever reason does tend to just keep the dealers in the dark on what is going on compared to the tracking info Howard is able to get :D

Truck got to dealer (about 10 miles from the yard) late on May 18th. Truck went thru PDI at the dealer the morning of Fri the 19th, and I picked it up late Friday afternoon.

Without the expedite call, I would guess it would have taken a few days longer.
