This truck came with a 3.5" exhaust. What difference will a 4" or 5" exhaust make?
Thanks

Moving this to proper forum.

It will lower the EGT's when towing and for all around driving. Also you will have the sound differences that are associated with a larger exhaust. You will see a slight change in performance and more air flow for the motor. Good luck

I deleted my cat and ran a 4" from the down pipe back using the Silverline muffler. Before change I was getting 300 miles per tank, after the change, I am getting 370 miles per tank. So a fuel milage increase is possible.

Thanks for the replys. Sounds like a worth while investment to go with a 4".

Thanks again,

Dave

before I cut and paste this new exhaust, any problems with sensor readings form the computer after you cut the cat?
