well, just got the muffler out of the way. this exhaust sounds awesome. not bad when driving on the highway, and sounds awesome when taking off. love it, love it, love it. anyways, just wanted to let yall know that.

I'm running the 4" straight thru exhaust from the turbo back and it sounds great till you tow something heavy. Then it's too loud!!
Especially at 2-2200 rpm!!!:mad: :mad:

how did you bypass the muffler? just get a short piece of 3" pipe ?

Actually it's 3-1/2" stock. I straight piped mine and I like it when I'm cruising but at idle it sounds like ****! I'm buying the MBRP 4" complete system! Just my two cents. Richard

Did you notice any better flow (lower egt's) w/ the factory muffler gone?
I'm contemplating cutting out the big @ss factory muffler and replacing w/ somthing to give a little better sound, not too loud, and less restriction.

I did mine right after I bought my truck. Lower egt's and less restriction. Just feels like it runs better without the muffler. Sound is not bad to me anyway. I know that people around me don't like it sometimes..

i love the sound. when you punch it next to the concrete barriers on the highway in town, it sounds great.

At idle you can hear the waste gate fluttering or something, it sounds awesome if you are driving but at idle I think it sucks. Actually I just bought a single chamber 3-1/2" flowmaster. Should have killer sound on a dmax, maybe.

Flowmaster sounds badass! You guys have got to hear this. It has the Flow sound at idle which is killer on the diesel and when you get on it, it's the baddest sound. Awesome awesome awesome. You get the picture.
