My 94 with S5288 is having timing issues. I have not taken it to the shop to get exact readings yet because I am trying to verify I have a 95 prom first. It runs smooth, no serious smoke, but keeps getting the '88' above 35 mph. The prom is BPBR 1621 7109. Can I get some help verifying if this is a 95 F prom?

Also, to you with scanners - I am tinkering with the ALDL data to see if I can make sense of the codes - at least until Swedeburb's application is finished. Does a prom id of '1B E9' or '7145' make any sense?

BPBR is a 94 3500 prom for an auto with 3.73 or 4.10 gears. And your code 88 means that you have no TDC offset error in the ECM, or that the offset error is outside of the -0.25 to -1.94 TDCO offset error limits. You need either a tech 1 or a tech 2 to check the TDCO offset error and do a relearn of the TDCO offset.
