: license plate lights - part # for chrome?
nelsduramax 05-21-2006, 12:38 AM On my previous truck (2000 silverado), the license plate lights were in chrome covers. My 2004 Sierra license plate lights are black, not chrome.
Does anyone know what the part number is for the chrome style? I want to switch mine out to the chrome ones so the bumper looks a little cleaner. They occured on 99', 2000, and 01 year trucks.
Thanks;
NEL
DINO ONE 05-21-2006, 01:52 AM I did this mod I'll have to look at my invoice. It was cheap like $12 for both.:ro)

ABQFirefighter 05-22-2006, 09:12 AM I need that part number as well. One of mine is broken and barely hanging on.
Hoser805 05-23-2006, 03:14 AM Anyone?? I would like to know too!
JERRY SMITH 05-23-2006, 01:31 PM The part number for 99-2000 models is 15049281.
nelsduramax 05-23-2006, 08:59 PM Is that part number for the pair or for one?
fastjohnny 05-24-2006, 11:18 PM My GM parts guy says the chrome ones are no longer available. Only black or silver now. Said the chrome ones were junk. Both of mine were falling out, clips not holding. I had a junk silver bumper I pulled out of the bone yard and swiped the silver ones from it and haven't had a problem.
DINO ONE 05-24-2006, 11:48 PM Calling BS! How are they junk? There the same damn thing as the others just a different color? WTF?

JERRY SMITH 05-25-2006, 01:05 PM Johnny, you need to get a new parts guy. Yes they are still available.
DINO ONE 05-25-2006, 02:07 PM +1 On that you need to find a parts guy, that knows what the hell he's talking about.

J Wood 05-25-2006, 02:36 PM Try P/N 15049281
This number is from my collision estimating software and is not always correct, but it shows that # to be chrome...:)
nelsduramax 05-25-2006, 03:24 PM Is the part#15049281 for a pair or for just one?
JERRY SMITH 05-25-2006, 04:25 PM Just one. But they are chrome and I have two of them on my 06.
15049281 part number at https://www.partszoneonline.com/index.php is $8.42 each plus shipping. Just give them a call for specific question on finish.
06DMAX00CAMSS 05-25-2006, 07:24 PM GM Parts Direct, $7.61 each. For 2 with their BS handling fee, it comes out to $25.17. REDICULOUS I'd probably be better off going through a friend of mine who works at a dealership.
