hoot,

"It's probably going to have a different hood though"

Is that subtle or what?

Denial is almost always overcome just a little bit at a time!

Dang, I hate to admit this, but that actually doesn't look too bad. I really like that red on Victory's truck with the deflector...

That grill looks much MUCH better than stock...

From the front straight on , looks good ......
From a side look,it's still a but'ter face ..... The lines just dont match ....The GMC's look a whole lot better IMO ....

So all in all there still a => http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Dead.gif http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Pig.gif in my eyes .... To straight squared off fenders ...

Ugly enough to make a train take a dirt road ..... http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Throw Up.gif

Exactly what Mackin points out above. Chev took the cheap way out. Only updated the front. The back still matches the 2001 - 2002 front end. A straight edge front and a curvy back on 2003.

I agree. They should have stuck with the '01-'02 front end. Those are, IMHO, the best looking trucks Chevy has made in a long time. Granted the two pictures posted look good, but I love the last style and I think the GMC front end looks better on the '03's. The front end change is the only reason I went with GMC instead of Chevy.

Now if they only made a grill to make my face a little more pleasant http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Disapprove.gif

I only like the 03 front with 6" under it and 35's. Looks better up in the air. The GMC looks great except for that huge gap between the bumper and the grill.

Come on, stock 03 Chevy's don't look that bad. Granted the 01-02 HD's did have a look that set them apart from the regular Silverados and both of them looked nice too. The first 03 I saw at the dealer was a 1/2 ton regular cab, 8 foot box in Pewter. Darn was it ugly. But since then they've grown on me, enough last January that I order a 2500HD CC LT D/A. I'm loving every minute of driving it, even more when the travel trailer is hooked to it. Now I kind of hate to drive the Tahoe.

I'm betting a Carrige-Works boltover grill and a billet bow-tie (Trenz maybe) emblem!

Actually I've got the Putco Shadow Billet clamp on, if you look at the photo carefully, you'll see the clamps in the background. I really wanted the liquid, but at 250+ a little pricey for something that doesn't make my truck go faster or run better.

Anyhow I also went to the clamp on for the winter months since I want to switch over to either a plastic or stainless cold front(i hate the bras included by GM) easily and quickly.

Shadow clamp on can be had for around $110 at various vendors.
