I have a new '06 2500 LBZ 4x4 cc sb. 900 miles on it. There is a noticeable difference in the engine noise between 63/64-67/68 mph. About 1700 rpm. I can only describe it as a drone. It is consistent and happens whenever I'm in that speed range. I haven't noticed it at any other speeds. Have any of you noticed anything like this? Is it normal? Thanks, Jim

gurn911 - There was a TSB on that for my truck and that added a dampner on the exhaust pipe just before the Cat. Check with your dealer. The bulletin should cover the '06 too. If you do a search on "1700-1800 rpm moan & drone", that'll give you more info.
Good luck.

I also have the "Droan" on my new, 700 miles, 06 3500 CC SRW LBZ. At the same time/ RPM of the draon I can feel vibration with my feet coming through the floor board that is allready starting to get bothersome.
Dealer put a damper on the exuast on mine and the droan is still there but nothing compared to what it used to be, search for "droan" there is lots of info

It was for earlier model trucks, not the 2006's. Actually they replaced the stock exhaust on those trucks with the '06 exhaust. Helped but did not fix it 100%.
