Just bought the truck and it has 500 miles on it and from day one it has been blowing blue smoke once in awile from the exaust is that just break in? Or do I have a problem with the truck?:help:

Seems to be normal on the LBZ's, Mine does this too, its a little annoying. It happens to me after extended idles, then blows blue smoke when I take off with it for about 1-2 miles before going away. Not noticing any mileage or power differences, thats for sure...):h

Eh the smoke is normal all diesels emit some smoke after extend idle or at about WOT. Wouldnt worry one bit.

I read somewhere that in the exhaust bending process some oil is trapped in the system and might take a while for it to burn out.

Shouldn't be a problem. I get smoke occasionally.

Mine has 8,000 miles on it and blows a little haze when ever I get after it.

Dodges, Fords and My lbz all due it the only time I notice it is like the rest of you said, after extended idle times. I wouldn't worry at all, seems to be the norm on all new diesel pickups.
