It only took the American mfg.s twenty five years to figure this one out, it's about time. Thank you GM, this has been pissing me off for years. I did have to hold it there but I have been filling up with both larger (at the truck stops) and small no problems but like it has been said here you have to watch it cause it will splash all over the place -:t with the larger fill nozzel :rolleyes: ... I try to use the smaller one when possible. No kit needed. :) FLSTFI Dave 06-23-2006, 07:43 AM My 01 had the small diameter fill tube. The 05 had a larger diameter fill tube as does my 06. I sure love the larger diameter fill tube. My 93 Chevy Diesel pickup could use the larger nozzle and I think up to 2000 had the larger necks, why they switched to the smaller necks when the LB7 Duramax came out I don't know. Then when the LLY came out in 04.5 they switched back to the larger necks again. Go figure. . | ||
