I found my 05 GMC the end of March, owner was transfered to Hawaii. It was eight months old with less 7K miles on it. Sold my old 93 Chev equivalent truck with only 48K miles to the first person who looked at it.

I only use the truck about 3K miles a year so I wasn't looking for a diesel. But I'm enjoying driving it so much I may have taken the wrong path. Mainly use the truck for towing our 22' Arctic Fox travel trailer. I do love diesels, I have a pair of CAT 3208's in my boat, they are 25 years old and have about 2000 hours on them.

I have learned many things about my truck from this site, mounting my Prodigy and 06 camper mirrors to name a few of the most helpful ones. Projects to do soon include installing an XM Sky-Fi receiver, a Garmin 182C for road navigation, and an Icom dual band ham transceiver, each of these involving external antennas that I want to look first class.

I appreciate you tolerating a gasser owner in the group.

Having owned a couple of gasser Chevies in the past I don't look back with the diesel:)

I'll try to create a Garage this evening with pictures of the truck, trailer and boat. The boat is an 1981 45' CHB trawler style cruiser, 15' beam, weighs about 40,000 #. The Caterpillar's are NA's and burn about 2 1/2 GPH each turning 1700 which gives a boat speed of about 9 1/2 knots.
