Will the larger long bed gas tank fit under the short bed? I have the 05 lly quad cab short bed, want more fuel capacity, but do not want a tank in the bed. What are my options?

I don't think the long bed fuel tank will fit the shorter beds. If they do, I have one just pulled from my 06 that you can have. I would think there are at least a couple of manufacturers producing replacement fuel tanks. For sure, TransferFlow makes a 35 ga. or so tank for your vehicle. TransferFlow is pricey but quality and fit are excellent. Crockett

I installed a transfer flow fuel tank in my 02 shortbed crewcab. It holds 43 gal and I love the extra range. The only think I don't paticularly like is the low fuel light comes on when there is still 10 gal of fuel in the tank. It get a bit unnerving to drive out in the middle of nowhere with the low fuel light on, but there is still about 170-180 miles of fuel left, at least in my truck. ;)

Supertanks (Titan) makes a larger tank for your truck too.
