I had planned on buying a Predator just for tire calibration and code reading. Anyway, having a hard time getting used to the Edge EZ that I currently have. Trying to put miles on the truck and just do not know if I like the feel between shifts. I pretty much prefer setting 1 just because it seems to feel more correct. With the setting on 2 or 3 the thing defuels soo much between shifts it almost feels slower than 1. Furthermore the more I try to figure this thing out the more I got my foot in the throttle which I know can not be good all the time.
I have about 250 miles of use with the Edge EZ and other accessories. Will the Edge "feel" get better? If not, does the Predator have a better powerband/shift feel? Thanks in advance! KC

I would seriously consider EFILive. The personal version is not quite double the normal selling price of the Predator (I think personal is $699, and commercial is like $820), but you can do SOOOOOO much more with it. Much better buy, if you ask me (plus I don't like diablosport as their customer service blows). I'd also wait for the release of Flashscan V2. It'll do everything the predator will do and more.

You need to make sure you let the trans learn the new power level before writing the product off. Set it on a level and keep it there. Start out easy and when the trans starts to get used to the shifts start getting more aggressive letting the trans adapt before moving on. You need to do this in T/H also. If you still have problems or find that the trans doesn't adapt then I'd look at possibly another tuner.

I've had about an equal number change from the Pred to Edge and visa-versa after being unhappy with the former and totally happy with the latter.
We've also seen the shifting improve on the Edge and Pred 2.0 by adding a Boost Stick...

Pred 2.00 definately needs the boost stick IMHO.
I felt the same way at 250 miles. Kept thinking I should have gotten the Van Aaaken. I went from level 2 down to 1 at 300 miles. Switched to 3 at 400 miles have not touched it since, 5,000 miles. Totally diiferent world now.It just takes some time. Mountain driving seemed to help mine a lot. Someone suggested doing some towing to me on one thread. You'll have to let it learn in T/H also I believe, it rips in tow/haul. There's still some things I don't like about it though, but if(when) I switch it will be to EFI.

I have my truck set on the 40 Hp level of the pred 2.02 and love it. Trans will learn in time. Maybe if you know someone at your local dealer you can get them to clear all the shift adpts inthe truck and then it won't take as long to learn.
