Is there such a thing as a drone free 4" exhaust for a 03 duramax. I did a search and see most people seem to have a drone. The noise would not bother me around town but I pull a car trailer an long trips and would get old fast. Thanks for any recomendations.

DuraMatt- That is a tough one. Some trucks seem to have a drone while others dont. Some swear they have drone with the stock exhaust. That being said, we have had the best luck with Magnaflow as far as the drone issues go. They are also a fairly quiet system as compared to some others out there. Another option is MBRP with the resonator.

I have the magna flow and I have never noticed a drone....
The system is fairly quiet unless you stand on it.It has a nice deep tone and I dont really notice the noise in the cab unless I crack the window for a listen):h

My MBRP does not drone at all. I pull a 25ft travel trailer and have no drone issues at all. I too was worried about droning.

I also have the magnaflow and have never noticed a drone. I pull boats up a 10 mile 6% grade and have never noticed a drone when pullin 12-14,000lbs. You can hear it rumbler in the cab if you turn the A/C off and the radio or crack the window when driving next to a gaurd rail, concreet wall or hard thing.

The LLY and LB7 are different animals when it conmes to sound. In general, muffler volume tends to affect sound quite a bit. On long bed trucks, I run a longer muffler to keep things as quiet as possible.

Some trucks/tunes react differently AND some people are sensitive to different frequencies.

I'm kinda cheap so I went with the moto-blue and have no drone. I figured since it was cheaper that would be my reward but I lucked up for once.
