: Top 10 Lists...
TheWolf 05-15-2006, 11:33 PM Hello,
Kind of new here, been signed up for a while, but haven't had much time to browse.
Can you fine folks help me with a top 10 kind of list for all kinds of duramax products.??
I DO NOT WANT TO START ANYKIND OF PRODUCT WARS, but would like to familiarize myself with the popular power upgrades. I am starting to sell performance products and would like to start learning some duramax products. So could you fine folks here help me out.
Help me with a top5 top 10 list of parts for each section and maybe brief description why that particular product.
Please list top 5 to 10 products for each of the following
1 engine modules for towing and racing
2 turbos for towing and racing
3 injectors
4 intakes
5 exhaust
6 engine mods such as cam, o-ring, injection pump, fuel pump
7 tranny mods,companys
Is there a difference in modules and things for different year trucks? maybe top/most popular module for an 01 truck is different than one for an 05 truck.
THANK YOU for your time and consideration

turBeau 05-16-2006, 10:35 PM First of all, welcome. Second thing you need to do before dropping all these questions is to fill out your signature so everyone knows what kind of vehicle you've got.

TheWolf 05-16-2006, 11:28 PM Thanks for all the help:lol: . I am going to go get those muffler bearings, but I will make sure I lube them up first with some slick 50.
turBeau, thanks for the welcome.
I do not own a duramax, but know a couple of guys that do and want to be able to give some good advice on upgrades. I own one of the 'Others" but I am starting to sell diesel performance parts and want to be able to offer some good advice to any duramax customers that may want to updgade. Reason for so many questions is that I have very little time to research ALL the info right now and wanted a good jump start. I do not want to give any bad advise and would like to learn a little about them myself too. BUT, i guess asking for little info was a :badidea: . I personally do not care what anyone drives as long as it is a DIESEL! I wasn't trying to start any trouble or be a "TROLL" I am just someone that just wanted to try and expand my knowledge to help others out.!

01-04.5 are LB7, 04.5 to 05 are LLY then you have the 06 LLY's and the 06 LBZ ........... I think all of that is right.
THANK YOU for your time and consideration I hope this helps.:ro)

My advice would be to do the real research for yourself, only then can you give good advice to your customers. Just asking some joe-smoe's advice and them selling products according to that doesn't seem like a good business practice to me, but good luck.
TheWolf 05-17-2006, 07:06 PM First of all thanks Duramaxamizer!! Its a start.
second, Idahorob. I will get around to doing my own research!, but I would also like someplace to start and what better place to start than to get a list of what actual "people" are USING and prefer and then research those products first.
I was just wanting a little more matureness. I can handle a little joke here and there but some that joke around cannot even give a serious answer after the fact. I hope this is not what I expect to see dealing with my duramax customers.
Once again I THANK those that have tried to help.
Wolford 05-17-2006, 07:27 PM search button is your friend, I am not B*tchin at you but I think you will find a lot of useful info by searching.
