Is there anyone who has changed out the tweeters in the pillars of our trucks? If so is there an option for a bose emblem to add to them?
Ben - I know you've added several BOSE speakers, where did you add them? Where did you get them? Please advise!
Thanks!!!!!

hmm Im kinda confused what you're asking... Why would you want to change the tweeters? I assume by adding a Bose emblem up there that you are referring to the Bose emblem on the 2007 Tahoes etc.. right?
I added "twiddlers" in the C-pillars and extra tweeters (same as used in a-pillars) in the rear doors, right below the rear door speakers. You'll need to have the Lux amp to add them tho...

Yes I'm talking about the 07's for the a pillars.....when I go lux I can add tweeters on the c-pillars (the pillar between the front/rear doors) and on the rear doors too? Where do you get the speakers?
Thanks!

Putting them on the "c" pillar will result in a less than optimal soundstage for the front seats to say the least. If you want to add extra tweets, I would only recomend you put them in the rear doors or below the shoulder of the front seat occupant behind the front seat on the "c" pillar if you absolutely must have them there. Of course, if sound quality is of no concern to you then just throw tweeters everywhere!):h

those are the B-pillars ;)
the C-pillars are behind the rear doors. The 2007 Tahoe front pillars are completely different (side curtain airbags, and the GMT-900 windshield rake is much steeper) so I dont think theyd fit. I got my twiddlers on ebay, and the tweeters from a member here.
Firefighter may be right, but remember this is Bose...we're dealing with screwy stuff here ):h
The rear twiddlers are on their own dedicated channel on the amp, so they are crossedover and not as loud as the main channels. They also receive different material than the rear doors because the amp changes the material sent to the twids based on DSP (spacious, driver, rear, normal etc..) setting. The rear tweeters i put in the doors below the door speares are just wired in parallel with the rear door speakers.

LOL! I can't beleive I didn't catch the "c" pillar is really the "b" pillar thing! I was pretty sleepy this a.m. though. I don't have any experience with the Lux unit so I guess what you are telling me is that they don't act like a normal aftermarket set up would. Somehow, I'm not really that suprised either. More bells and whistles.........
