I saw 4 brand new HD's with fabtech 6 in. lifts and 285's painted Forest service green this weekend. They were all set up for fire fighting. So does that mean GM will warranty these?Seems like a double standard.CensoredBull if that flys.

Dealerships have been putting lifts on HDs for a while now and offering a warranty with them. I think the warranty is through a company other than GM. Also, FWPW will install a lift and sell you a drivetrain warranty. The biggest issue is how receptive the delars are to these non-GM warranties.

GM builds them for govt fleet service, I read where they considered selling same set-up as an RPO (regular production option)http://www.gmfleet.com/image/pdf/LSSV_Cargo_Troop_Carrier.pdf

Couldn't find it but the lifted trucks are being used by border patrol and forestry IIRC

Anyone know who is making this for them?

on a carrier attached to the rear bumper of the truck."

I thought there was a package that chevy was offering now with a factory lift? I think it's called a Regency?

I know that WALDOCH does all of that. Everything in my signature is brand new from the factory and has the same warranty.

The lifted trucks at the stealers are aftermarket conversions. And they cost a few pretty pennies to buy, one of our local dealers has a lifted 2500HD and the sticker is 12K OVER msrp. I can do same for around 5K, but the stealer can get that 60K truck financed.
The 12K includes a pretty dash kit.
