: no start
firelt 04-24-2004, 08:15 PM In the last couple of weeks my truck would not start 3 different times, just keeps turning over,i turned off the non factory alarm, set the predator back to stock ,and after 5 to 10 mins it finially starts ,-----anybody have a clue ? thanks mike
Max Power 04-24-2004, 08:20 PM Passlock securtiy? Is there a security light flashing when you try to crank? Is your non factory alarm also a remote starter? If so that is most likely the culprit.
patrick 04-24-2004, 08:22 PM any smoke?
does it just crank?
could be injection pump.
air in fuel.
fuel filter.
Leaking injector.
I am seening some with crank shaft position sensor falts.
firelt 04-24-2004, 09:21 PM no smoke , just cranks,i do have remote start, but i don't think there is a light on when cranking ,runs fine after it startsEdited by: firelt
dmaxalliTech 04-24-2004, 10:14 PM Next time it happens, pump the primer and then try it and let us know the results.
firelt 04-24-2004, 10:23 PM dmaxalliTech--- i tried that and it let me pump about two or three pumps and thats all it would let me pump ,then still no start
dmaxalliTech 04-24-2004, 10:41 PM what u mean it wouldnt let you? It got hard right away? If thats the case... Just for kicks, pump it once or twice to remove the vacuum then crack the bleeder. Just to be safe. Then bleed it, and then reprime till she is firm. If still no go, can rule out supply side problem. Need a Tech-2 to go further accuratly.
Dmaxcan 04-25-2004, 02:28 AM I don't know if this could be the same problem, but a buddy had the same thing happen to his '03 Saturn. turn out to be his ignition module, it wouldn't recognize his key thus shutting off the fuel. If you don't use a proper key in the ignition most newer GM vehicles won't start.
firelt 04-25-2004, 09:07 AM after two pumps it got hard right away

Have a look for the security light. I really think that this could be your problem. Especially when you say that after 15 minutes it starts fine. That is common behavior for this problem.
firelt 04-25-2004, 06:56 PM Max Power--- WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO HAVE THAT DISCONECTED?
Max Power 04-25-2004, 07:06 PM You would likely have to get your remote starter installer to do it. If you know how to solder I could likely help you do it yourself. Depending on what passlock bypass module was used, you might have to just cut 2 wires. Of course your remote start will not work until this is fixed but when your trying to eliminate problems its a good place to start.
firelt 04-25-2004, 08:18 PM I WILL TRY ANYTHING NOW THREE TIMES TODAY ,NO START,WHAT DO I DO? THANKS CAN YOU PM ME YOUR PHONE NUMBER?Edited by: firelt
