I remember you saying that you liked the sound of your muffler-less exhaust sytem. How loud is it and can you hear it from inside the cab?

I can make the radio noise mute under hard acceleration with the windows up. Now, The question of is it loud?


Well, first of all this is truck country and you ain't S*** unless you can be heard reving your engine(not that I do this). So, comparatively speaking, no, it's not very loud. If you're just crusing you mostly hear the turbo whine and a little thump from the motor. Even this noise doesn't seem as loud as when I made the change.


But you won't be creaping up on anyone. My wife reports hearing me from the highway about 1/4 mile away. I personally feel the deep vibrations at highway speeds and during accelerations energizing, and enjoy the chance to open up on the on ramp or whatever.Edited by: quantum mechanic
