I have had problems off and on for over a year with my tranny the last time until today was in january. Today the tranny got a little warn around 200 degrees and it does what it always does defaulted to third gear and limped home. The code is p1711 i can let it set for a couple days and clear the code and it will sometimes last a while before it does again. Any ideas what is going on. The last time i had a guy replace some selinoides and it lasted two weeks thanks tim.

That is one of them he replaced

Just drove my truck and the cooled off tranny is running and shifting fine. Keep in mind the tranny only got to 200 degrees. What is going on any help would be appreciated thanks tim.

Fill out a sig so we can see exactly what were working with, how many miles on the truck, when was the last time the tranny was serviced?

The truck has 102000 miles and was serviced last january what more do you need.
