First time I have liked a vehicle enough to actually clean under the hood. Looks all shiny now. 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper and Mother's Billet polish helped. Now my A/c lines look like chrome and the turbo is shiny as hell. Even poilshed the tensioner a bit.

Here are some before and aftr pics.

Take you some Krylon Dull aluminum paint and do the intake and the other aluminum parts. Use semi flat black on the painted black parts. Think you'll be well on your way to a neat engine compartment.

Izzatta bolt missing a nut behind the alternator in that next-to-last pitcher?

Also, those ground wires in the upper left center , first pitcher, look mighty frazzled.

Thassa incident looking fer a happening.

Might oughtta look into that, as the gynecologist sez.........

actually, the aluminum stuff wasnt too bad, total of like 1 1/2 hours, taking my time. Cleaned with degreaser and a brass brush, then fine steel wool, 600 grit wet, then aluminum polish.

And yeah, was thinking about digging out some of my hi temp paint out of the attic and taking a day to clean/paint some stuff under there. That will probably wait till something happens that requires me to take stuff apart. If the turbo ever has to come out, I'll polish it with an electric polisher and make it look like chrome.

Took a look. The wires are 2 ground wires that have been twisted around each other and are in good shape. The tape on them was coming off so I retaped them. The bolt you see is a bracket bolt, its going through a threaded part of the bracket, so no nut needed, nor missing.

Good eyes :ro)

Thx for lookin out.

Yeh- that has been my main life-long forte - raise yer hood, an' I c'n spot half-a-dozen problem areas in the blink of an eye.

Has a tendency to irritate anybody showing off a recent acquisition, but you know the ole sayin' - if it ain't fixed, don't break it - er sumpthin' like that.
