I have a 98 w a 6.5L, I put on a straight 3 1/2 exhaust from the cat back, no muffler, It sounds good but I can't hear the turbo like I want to, Is that typical for the 6.5 or will I hear it better w/o the cat??

6.5's are very quiet as far as hearing the turbo. ditching the cat will definately help, if you have one?

The 6.5 in my hummer screams the turbo with no kitty. Cut it off. you'll love it.

Careful, it can be dangerous! That blood can rush down from you head pretty quick when you hear it really spool up for the first time!

I got a taste of it once, I usually don't put my foot all the way down to the front bumper but, I had to once and I thought I heard the turbo above 3000 rpm
