lately I have noticed a clicking noise when the truck is in park and running. It comes and goes and I can't figure out where it is coming from. Any ideas?

It's probably the infamous "Duramax Tick" that comes and goes....nothing to worry about. They all do it to some extent, and some are worse or louder than others.

Mines started to make a similar noise but its the idler pulley for the serpentine belt making the click.


It sounds very clickish and not really a "tick".
