: Paranoia....or something really wrong?

I've had my truck Juiced for oh I'd say a good 10k. My truck has a total of 20.3k miles on it. I normally have it set on level two for normal driving and on t/h level 4(oh it's just the normal edge no ***). I'm generally pretty easy on the truck but I have phases that last a couple days where I just flog it. Lately two things are either really happening....or my butt sensor is playing tricks on me.

1. I just don't feel power come on the way I used to. I would easily be pinned in my seat on level 4 and more than adequate accel on level 2 now feels almost uninspired.

2. My tranny is getting really sloppy..or so I think. On normal and t/h the shifts feel slow, sloppy, and really don't feel satisfactory. Now maybe these two symptoms are related because a slipping tranny=no power to ground.

These two conditons might just be a figment of my imagination. Maybe I'm just accustomed now to all this power. But then again maybe not. How could I find out if something is truly wrong besides taking it to track and comparing present et's with past et's or waiting for something to break? Edited by: DURAMAXED03

The Allison adapts to your driving style somewhat.

Take it easy for a while and the trans starts taking it easy. If you continue to push it, the trans should relearn to your new driving style.

At one time someone posted a way the was supposed to put the trans into fast learn or something like that.

I think you are going through some "duramax power withdrawal"

This is how I felt when I got my 90hp juice after a while it felt weak, so I upgraded to 125hp hot juice......started getting the same funny feeling again so I upgraded to the 150hp attitude.

Now I have decided to install a dual stage nitrous kit, lets see how long before I get that "funny feeling" again.

Lets face it we are all "power Junkies" http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15/15_6_1.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001)

ON THE FUEL FILTER...I'VE HAD IT CHANGED TWICE WITHIN 20K MILES....REAL ON TOP OF IT. YOU THINK MAYBE THE SHELL DIESEL I USE HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT? I ALSO USE DIESEL KLEEN ADDITIVE FOR LUBRICATION AND CETANE BOOST. YOU CAN GET IT AT DISCOUNT PARTS 5 BUCKS FOR 100 GALS. THANKS FOR RESPONDING MR. TOMAC.
