I think so. It also help the ride both loaded and empty.

I have ran with them since 97 and can't stand to go with out them now

If you add air after you are loaded they work great. They will level any load I have thrown at them. Including 2800lb. cab-over camper with car hauler trailer and 2-4 quads and gear on it. The other benefit is when you are unloaded you can let the air out easy enough to get your stock ride and ride height back. My buddy has helper springs on his truck and wishes now that he went with the bags. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=AIR%2D57275&N=4294925130+4294873392+115&autoview=sku
I used these and it was a direct bolt on kit. I ran the filler valves in behind the fuel door above the cap.

I would highly recommend them. Ive got em on my lifted dmax. Usually a lifted vehicle doesn't take heavy loads as well as stock but with the bags, I hook up my toyhauler with a tounge weight of 800 to 1100 lbs and the back of the truck doesn't budge.

And people aren't flicking the high beams at you all night because you worked all day and didn't get on the road until after dark

Air bags are great if you need to adjust them for changing loads. If you will have the same load each time you might want to check out Timbrens. They cost about $155.

i just installed firestone ride rights easy to install i ordered a air compressor and digital read out from kennedy diesel
i love them i had to build spacers because of my lift the deaver springs i have are very soft beutiful ride, but when i load my trailer it would sag to much in the back....not any more and i can crank the pressure up a bit seems like i get better traction imo

I installed the Firestones last month ( very easy ) to level out the truck when towing the 5er. It also rides a lot smother and doesn't buck as much as it used to. I would definitely say they are worth it.

I'll be installing a set of towing air bags. My springs aren't very appreciative when towing a 28' boat.

I used Firestone ride rite air bags and onboard compressor on my 2003 dually. I didn't like them you need to leave a minimum of 5lbs of air per bag. Truck was bouncier when unloaded and had more rebound with 5ver in tow. Kind of like when a kid jumps on a big exercise ball then flies off. This time around I went Timber load springs. They are none ajustable and take about 15 minutes to install. They relace factory bump stops and leave 1 1/4 inches of clearence when truck is unloaded leaving a completely stock ride. When trailer in picture is hooked up she drops about 1 1/2 to 2" with springs compaired to 3 1/2" before. Ride with the springs over Throgs neck and George Washington bridges was excellent coffee didn't spill. Give the timbrens a shot I believe they have a money back guarantee.
