Did a little race box tuning with Van Aaken this weekend.

Stock 254.8HP 439.7TQ

Level 1 407.2HP 728.9TQ

Level 2 472.6HP 912.8TQ

This is the strongest single unit that I have tested to date. I'll have the dyno plot listed on my site soon.

We also revised the VA 110 and 150HP files to enhance pedal response, TQ and HP output...

Is this an external module, or a programmer?

Trippin', you got one yet? http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Wink.gif

The VA 230 I have Dyno'd out at 430HP/740-750TQ on a stock....worn out Allison...........IIRC.......baseline of 239/420 IIRC

I have "It" elsewhere at the moment for testing purposes on a load cell............http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gif

As soon as I have some info I will share it........It is being tested on a ATS equipped truck with a co-pilot.

Thanks for the info............so...........is this going to be a one off file or are you going to reflash the VA's ????

The 230 unit was weak on TQ and did 180-190HP. I'll look for the runs with it. 800TQ and 430's HP IIRC

We pulled out the light throttle pinging on transition, and worked on keeping the fueling up at shift time. It's still not overly aggressive on part throttle application, but smoke is not excessive either. Packing more fuel on only suppressed the "upswing of the curve.

Let's get one of these out for the LLYhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif

I have ran the big 230 VA on my truck too. The HJAT 145 lays down a much better curve and kills it on torque.

I did stack the 230 VA with the Quad 215 and made 500 on the dyno but the torque again was not there.

Sounds like you made some good progress with tweaking your VA tunes John.

Should do good with the Quad 215. I haven't tried it as of late, but it seems that the 215 Quad absolutely NEEDS something stacked with it to do anything worthwhile and straighten out the dips in the curve...

Did you run that combination at the track? How were the times compared to your 215 & HJ/At stack? I don't care about the low torque, if the ET is better than the 215 & HJ/At stack.

JK, will we be able to have big VA boxes reflashed with this tune??

Amric,

I have not run that combo at the track, it was a borrowed VA box when I put it on the dyno. I may have an opportunity to test a VA combo again soon, this time at the track. I will let you know the results when I do it. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Geek.gif

I've released them for order on my site. Haven't decided what to do about upgrading existing units yet. I have the capabilities to do in house. Waiting for modules (beyond my test units) to come in.

Dyno plot posted. Accelleration run from 35mph to 75 mph over 12 seconds. Peak TQ is not as high as some that I have tested, but the TQ rises much stronger early on and has a nice shape...
