Got the truck started a little while ago - dead batteries. Took more than a couple of seconds of crankning to finally start, and now the SES light is on. As part of the troubleshooting, i pulled the fuses under the hood. would that cause the light to come on, or is it a result of the dead batteries?

Sounds like it's in Backup mode - can you get a scan on it?

backup mode? it cranked fine this morning, but didn't start right away - white smoke until it finally caught. Sounds to me like the GPs didn't heat up. i'm heading out in a little bit to put a scanner on it.

Glows might be dead, test them, good ones have .08-1.4 ohms

OK, I'm a dumba$$...I replaced the cable going from the DS battery to the underhood fusebox (with #4 welding cable) and forgot to reconnect the wire for the GP relay.
Moron...:D
