i did a non lux non touch screen install.when i conected the vss wire the check engine light was on .there was some code about indicator light and sensor bad.any ideas?I cleared the codes with a scanner no more light.

If you unplugged the instrument cluster then turned the key to the ON position with it unplugged it will throw the light, just because the cluster is unplugged.
