: Dmax Vacuum?

My inquisitive mind got to thinking (a dangerous thing under any circumstances) the other day and I was wondering about vacuum on a Dmax. Does the Dmax use vacuum for anything and if so what generates it? My old ’84 has a vacuum pump located where the distributor would be on a gasser. Vacuum is used for moving the heater/defroster doors and once upon a time for the EGR valve and some other long removed stuff. Does the Dmax use anything like that?

There is no Vacuum produced or needed for a basic DMAX truck. The brakes are hydroboost, the HVAC controls are electric motors.

I have seen a Vaccuum pump option for the DMAX, and have seen one used for a vacuum over hydraulic brake system on a trailer. There are multiple ways to have vacuum available, and I am not sure an engine mounted option is the best.
