Pre-turbo is best. Do a search on the Hoot method but the place to do it is in the exhaust manifold on the passenger side.

Install your pyro probe about 1.5 - 2inches before the flange on your exhaust manifold.

I am running the Predator 2.02 on the 65 hp tune and I will see 1200 when I get on it hard. Of course that is unloaded... With you running the VA I would imagine you would see more heat. 1600 gauge would seem to be enough cause if you are running over 1400-1450 for any extended period of time you are going to damage your turbo.

I've seen anywhere from 700-1800*. I would go with the 2000* gauge

Unless you are running a truck with extensive mods (larger turbo, larger injectors, amped injection pump) AND doing a lot of dragracing or sled pulling you should go with the 1600 pyro. It will give you better resolution in the "normal" range of 300 - 1000 degrees where you will spend 99% of your operating time. Temps over 1600 are dangerous and are only experienced for short periods of time really maxed out in racing or pulling.
