I have both the Bully Dog 95 and Quad 215 box programers.

The Bully Dog instructions say to pull 3 fuses and the Quad instructions do not mention pulling fuses. The boxes look alike and I was wondering if they are made by the same manuf.

Does it make any difference ? Did Quad leave this out of his instructions for a reason? http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif

I pull the "info" fuse only... and make sure all accessories including daytime running lights are off. Doors closed etc.

If you leave the doors open or the lights come on it should be ok though correct??

Here's something interesting. Hypertech says that if you have Onstar you're supposed to pull a couple of fuses. I did this, and it didn't want to program. I put the fuses back in, and it went in fine. I double checked, and I pulled the correct fuses. Weird.

GREG, WHEN I INSTALLED THE BOXES ON MY TRUCK I NEVER PULLED THE FUSES. MINE IS AN 01 SO THAT MIGHT MAKE A DIFFERENCE. I FIGURED IF THE QUAD DIDNT SAY TO PULL THEM THEN IT WOULD BE OK ON THE BULLYDOG SINCE THEY ARE "SUPPOSED TO BE" THE SAMEhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

Jon, I pulled the fuses on the Bully Dog when I installed it on my brothers 02 Duramax as instructed, but I did not when I installed the Quad box on my truck. No trouble so far for either.

BTW, Quad said the rough idle is only on the new version Quad 215 and will have a little surge in some spots. He can take it out at the loose some throttle response and low in torque. Not sure I want to loose performance.

I may run on low Quad tune with the Attutude anyway. Gotta get the Juice back on.

I have had the best luck with only retuning when the motor is warm. I think the charging that happens after the glow plugs and fuel cooler light, is what causes most people issues. I leave all fuses in, and have NEVER had an issue as long as I re-tune after I get home rather than before I leave.
