I have the SPA, DG211, Dual Boost/EGT gauge. The wire lead from the EGT probe is so long that I have to coil it up to manage the extra wire. There must be at least five feet more wire than I need. I've looked at the end that plugs into the adapter module and it looks like it would be easy to cut the wire to the proper length and reattach the plug. Has anyone tried this? My only reservation is that the plug terminals are clearly marked positive and negative. I’m not sure how to know which wire is positive and which is negative after the wire is cut. I’d rather not reverse the polarity and damage the gauges – they are too expensive to replace.
The wires in the lead don’t appear to be color coded or distinguishable in any way. It looks like a 50/50 guess on which wire is positive and which is negative.
